Needs

The Birthplace Society’s Board voted in 2002 to begin planning for the first capital campaign in the Society’s history. Its goal was to raise funds to create space behind the historic Calvin Jones house for exhibits, programming, conservation, and storage. The Board agreed that the Society had grown beyond the six rooms in the Jones house, which were cramped, poorly lighted, and inaccessible to the physically challenged.
