Museum

Today, seven of the rooms in the Calvin Jones house contain exhibits on the history of Wake Forest College and the town of Wake Forest. The first floor exhibits emphasize the history of the College and town. Highlights include a model of the campus as it appeared in 1943, the bell from the first college building, and an early portrait of Dr. Calvin Jones. The second floor exhibits highlight student life, student athletics, the medical school, and the law school. The Wake Forest College Sports Hall of Fame is one of the popular displays. Special artifacts include the hat and umbrella worn by the first Demon Deacon, sports photographs from 1888 to 1956, and the law library of Justice I. Beverly Lake, Sr. (’25).
